Text and translation

English translation

1022. (There is another chain) from Al-Hasan bin 'Ubaidullāh, from Ibrāhīm bin Suwaid, from 'Alqamah, who said: " 'Abdullāh said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ once led us in a prayer and prayed five (Rak'ahs). When he had turned around, the people started mumbling among themselves. So he asked them, "What is the matter?" They said: "O Messenger of Allāh, has the prayer been increased?" He said: "No." So they said: "But you have prayed five (Rak'ahs)!" So he turned around, prostrated twice, then said the Taslim. Then he said: "I am only human — I forget as they forget." (Saḥīh)
