English translation
1097. Ibn Mas'ūd narrated: "When the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ would give a Khuṭbah, he would say: 'All praise is due to Allāh, we seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. And we seek Allāh's refuge from the evil of ourselves. There is none that can misguide one whom Allāh guides, and none can guide whom He misguides. And I testify that none has the right to be worshiped but Allāh, and I testify that Muḥammad is His slave and Messenger. He has sent him with the Truth, as a giver of glad tidings and a warner against evil, before the time of the (Final) Hour. Whoever obeys Allāh and His Messenger has been guided, and whoever disobeys them has only brought harm upon himself, and has not harmed Allāh in the least.'" (Ḍa'if)
