English translation

1125. Samurah bin Jundab said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ would recite during the Friday prayer: 'Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High'[4] and: 'Has there come to you the narration of Overwhelming (the Day of Resurrection)?'[5]" (Saḥīḥ)

Arabic text

1125 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْجُمُعَةِ: بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى، وَهَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ "
