English translation

12. 'Abdullāh bin 'Umar said: "I once climbed on top of the house, so I saw the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ sitting on two bricks, facing Bait Al-Maḍdis, relieving himself." (Ṣaḥīḥ)

Arabic text

12 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ وَاسِعِ بْنِ حَبَّانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: لَقَدْ ارْتَقَيْتُ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْبَيْتِ، «فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى لَبِنَتَيْنِ مُسْتَقْبِلَ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ لِحَاجَتِهِ»
