English translation

1316. It was reported from Hishām bin 'Urwah, from his father, from 'Aishah, that she said: "Allāh, the Mighty and Sublime, would awake the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ at night, such that Sahar (pre-dawn) would not come except that he had completed his portion."[1] (Da'if)

Commentary

Whatever good act one is able to perform, it is by Allāh's will, grace and bounty. Success to do good works is granted by Allāh alone. Hence, one should always supplicate to Allāh and implore Him to grant success.
