1550. Farwah bin Nawfal Al-Ashja’i asked ‘Aishah, the Mother of the Believers, about the supplication of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. She replied: “He would say: ‘Allāhumma! Innī a’ūdhu bika min sharri mā ‘amiltu wa min sharri ma lam a’mal (O Allāh, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done, and from the evil of what I have not done).’” (Šahīh)
1550 - حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، عَمَّا كَانَ رَسُولُ صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْعُو بِهِ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ يَقُولُ: «اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا عَمِلْتُ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا لَمْ أَعْمَلْ»
