English translation

1728. Nāfi' reported that Ibn 'Umar would take his freed slave-girl, by the name of Ṣafīyah, while traveling to Makkah, allowing her to ride on the mount with him. (Ṣaḥīḥ)

Arabic text

1728 - حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ «يُرْدِفُ مَوْلَاةً لَهُ يُقَالُ لَهَا صَفِيَّةُ تُسَافِرُ مَعَهُ إِلَى مَكَّةَ»
