Text and translation

English translation

1870. Al-Muhājir Al-Makki said that Jābir bin 'Abdullāh was asked about a person raising his hands upon seeing the House. He said: "I did not think that anyone would do this except the Jews. And we performed Hajj with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, and he did not use to do it." (Da'if)

Commentary

All the narrations relating to this case are weak. There is no proof that it is Sunnah to raise up one's hands on seeing the House of Allāh.
