Text and translation

English translation

1898. ‘Abdur-Raḥmān bin Ṣafwān narrated: “When the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ had conquered Makkah, I said (to myself): ‘I will wear my clothes — and my house was on the way — and I will see what the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ does.’ So I went, and saw that the Prophet ﷺ had exited from the Ka’bah along with his Companions, and they had embraced the House from the door to the Ḥaṭim.[2] They had placed their cheeks on the House, and the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was in their midst.” (Ḍa‘īf)
