English translation

2025. (Another chain, similar to no. 2023) Ibn 'Umar added: "And I forgot to ask him how many (Rak'ahs) he had prayed." (Sahih)

2025 - حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ الْقَعْنَبِيِّ، قَالَ: وَنَسِيتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَهُ كَمْ صَلَّى؟

Commentary

We learn from this Hadīth that a Sutrah (screen) should be at least three fore-arms length away from the person praying.
