Text and translation

English translation

2040. Ibn 'Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ would visit Qubā' walking and riding — Ibn Numair (one of the narrators) added: "And he would pray two Rak'ahs (there)." (Sahih)

Arabic text

2040 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ح حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «كَانَ يَأْتِي قِبَاءَ مَاشِيًا وَرَاكِبًا». زَادَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ وَيُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ

Commentary

Among the places worth visiting in Al-Madinah, the most important is the Qubā' Masjid. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, said that a prayer in that Masjid is like 'Umrah in terms of reward.
