2137. It was reported from Yazīd bin Bābantūs, from ‘Aīshah, may Allāh be pleased with her, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ sent for all his wives — meaning during his illness — and they all gathered (round him). He said: ‘I am unable to go to all of you, so if you see fit, give me permission to remain with ‘Aīshah.’ So they all gave him permission.” (Hasan)
2137 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْحُومُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَطَّارُ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ بَابَنُوسَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ إِلَى النِّسَاءِ، - تَعْنِي فِي مَرَضِهِ - فَاجْتَمَعْنَ، فَقَالَ: «إِنِّي لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ أَدُورَ بَيْنَكُنَّ، فَإِنْ رَأَيْتُنَّ أَنْ تَأْذَنَّ لِي فَأَكُونَ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ، فَعَلْتُنَّ فَأَذِنَّ لَهُ»
