2335. It was reported from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: "Do not precede fasting Ramaḍān by fasting a day or two, except for a fast that a man fasts (as a habit); (if it is so) then let him fast that fast." (Šaḥīh)
2335 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا تُقَدِّمُوا صَوْمَ رَمَضَانَ بِيَوْمٍ، وَلَا يَوْمَيْنِ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ صَوْمٌ يَصُومُهُ رَجُلٌ، فَلْيَصُمْ ذَلِكَ الصَّوْمَ»
