2372. It was reported from 'Abdul-Wārīth, from Ayyūb, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbās, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was cupped while he was fasting. (Sahih) Abū Dāwūd said: Wuhaib bin Khālid reported it from Ayyūb, similarly with his chain, and Ja'far bin Rabī'ah and Hishām, meaning Ibn Hassān, reported it from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbās, similarly.
2372 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عِكرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ احْتَجَمَ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ»، قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ: رَوَاهُ وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ وَجَعْفَرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، وَهِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مِثْلَهُ
