English translation
2407. It was reported from Jābir bin ‘Abdullāh that the Prophet ﷺ saw a man being shaded while surrounded by a crowd of people. He said: "It is not part of righteousness to fast on a journey." (Sahih)

2407 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَسَنٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، رَأَى رَجُلًا يُظَلَّلُ عَلَيْهِ، وَالزِّحَامُ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: «لَيْسَ مِنَ الْبِرِّ الصِّيَامُ فِي السَّفَرِ»
