2441. It was reported from 'Abdullāh bin 'Abbās, from Umm Al-Faḍl bint Al-Hārith, that some people disputed in front of her on the day of 'Arafah about whether the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was fasting or not, some of them said: 'He is fasting,' and some of them said: 'He is not fasting.' So I sent to him a cup of milk while he was halted atop his camel at 'Arafāt, and he drank from it." (Saḥih)
2441 - حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ، أَنَّ نَاسًا، تَمَارَوْا عِنْدَهَا يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فِي صَوْمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: هُوَ صَائِمٌ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: لَيْسَ بِصَائِمٍ، فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ بِقَدَحِ لَبَنٍ، وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ بِعَرَفَةَ «فَشَرِبَ»
