2505. It was reported from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbās who said: "If you march not forth, He will punish you with a painful torment..."[1] and "...It was not becoming of the people of Al-Madinah..." up to: "...What they used to do..." has been abrogated by the following Verse: "And it is not (proper) for the believers to go out to fight all together."[2] (Hasan)
2505 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ النَّحْوِيِّ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: " {إِلَّا تَنْفِرُوا يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا} [التوبة: 39] وَ {مَا كَانَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ} [التوبة: 120]، إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {يَعْمَلُونَ} [التوبة: 121] نَسَخَتْهَا الْآيَةُ الَّتِي تَلِيهَا: {وَمَا كَانَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لِيَنْفِرُوا كَافَّةً} [التوبة: 122] "
