English translation

2558. (Another chain) from Nāfi', from Ibn 'Umar who said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ prohibited riding Al-Jallālah." (Ḥasan)

Arabic text

2558 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي سُرَيْجٍ الرَّازِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي قَيْسٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتَيَانِيِّ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الجَلَّالَةِ فِي الْإِبِلِ أَنْ يُرْكَبَ عَلَيْهَا»

Commentary

The prohibition of consuming the milk and meat of such animals is also proven from other Aḥādīth. (See no. 3785)
