Text and translation

English translation

2611. It was reported from 'Ubaidullāh bin 'Abdullāh, from Ibn 'Abbās, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "The best number of companionship is four, the best number of expedition is four hundred, and the best number of an army is four thousand. Twelve hundred will never be defeated due to being too few in number." (Da'if) Abū Dāwūd said: What is correct is that it is Mursal.
