2746. It was reported from Al-Laith from 'Aqīl, from Ibn Shihāb, from Sālim, from 'Abdullāh bin 'Umar, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to give a specific Nafl to some of the detachments which he sent out, other than the general share of the whole army. And the Khumus was required from all of that. (Ṣaḥīh)
2746 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي، ح وحَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي حُجَيْنٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ كَانَ يُنَفِّلُ بَعْضَ مَنْ يَبْعَثُ مِنَ السَّرَايَا لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ خَاصَّةَ النَّفَلِ سِوَى قَسْمِ عَامَّةِ الْجَيْشِ، وَالْخُمُسُ فِي ذَلِكَ وَاجِبٌ كُلُّهُ»
