2889. It was reported from Abū Bakr, from Abū Ishāq, from Al-Barā' bin 'Azib who said: "A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allāh! They ask you for a legal verdict about Al-Kalālāh — what is Al-Kalālāh?' He replied: 'The Verse revealed in summer is sufficient for you.'" I asked Abū Ishāq: "Does it mean the one who dies and did not leave behind a son or father. He replied: 'That is it, that is what they used to think.'" (Hasan)
2889 - حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ أَبِي مُزَاحِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ: " جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، يَسْتَفْتُونَكَ فِي الْكَلَالَةِ فَمَا الْكَلَالَةُ؟ قَالَ: «تُجْزِيكَ آيَةُ الصَّيْفِ» فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي إِسْحَاقَ: هُوَ مَنْ مَاتَ وَلَمْ يَدَعْ وَلَدًا وَلَا وَالِدًا؟ قَالَ: «كَذَلِكَ ظَنُّوا أَنَّهُ كَذَلِكَ»
