English translation

3175. It was narrated from 'Ali bin Abi Tālib that the Prophet ﷺ stood up for a funeral, then after that, he sat down. (Ṣaḥīḥ)

Arabic text

3175 - حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ وَاقِدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ: «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ فِي الْجَنَائِزِ ثُمَّ قَعَدَ بَعْدُ»
