English translation

3179. It was narrated from Sālim that his father said: "I saw the Prophet ﷺ, Abū Bakr and 'Umar, walking in front of the Janāzah." (Ṣaḥīḥ)

Arabic text

3179 - حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ يَمْشُونَ أَمَامَ الْجَنَازَةِ»
