English translation

3182. It was narrated from 'Uyainah bin 'Abdur-Raḥmān from his father, that he attended the funeral of 'Uthmān bin Abī Al-'Ās and we were walking slowly. Abū Bakrah joined us and raised his whip, and said: "I remember when we were with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and walked rapidly." (Ṣaḥīḥ)

3182 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُيَيْنَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي جَنَازَةِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ وَكُنَّا نَمْشِي مَشْيًا خَفِيفًا، فَلَحِقَنَا أَبُو بَكْرَةَ فَرَفَعَ سَوْطَهُ، فَقَالَ: «لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا وَنَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَرْمُلُ رَمَلًا»،
