3209. It was narrated that 'Āmir said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was washed by 'Ali, Al-Faḍl and Usāmah bin Zaid, and they are the ones who placed him in his grave." He ('Āmir) said: "And Marḥab" or "Ibn Abī Marḥab narrated to me that they brought 'Abdur-Raḥmān bin 'Awf in with them, and when 'Ali had finished, he said: 'Only the family of the man takes care of him.'" (Da'if)
3209 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: «غَسَّلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلِيٌّ، وَالْفَضْلُ، وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، وَهُمْ أَدْخَلُوهُ قَبْرَهُ»، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُرَحَّبٌ أَوْ أَبُو مُرَحَّبٍ، أَنَّهُمْ أَدْخَلُوا مَعَهُمْ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ عَلِيٌّ قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا يَلِي الرَّجُلَ أَهْلُهُ»
