English translation
3374. It was narrated from Sulaimān bin 'Atīq, from Jābir bin 'Abdullāh that the Prophet ﷺ forbade selling crops years in advance, and (he recommended) that the seller waive the payment in the event of the crop being damaged by blight (after it has ripened and been sold). (Sahih) Abū Dāwūd said: There is nothing correct from the Prophet ﷺ concerning one third (of the crop); that is the view of the people of Al-Madīnah.[1]
