3400. It was narrated from Tāriq bin 'Abdur-Raḥmān, from Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab, from Rāfi' bin Khādīj, who said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ forbade Mūhāqalah[1] and Muzābanah[1] and said: 'Only three should cultivate: A man who has land and cultivates it (himself), a man who has been given some land so he cultivates that which has been given to him, and a man who rents out land for gold and silver.'" (Hasan)
