English translation

3405. It was narrated from 'Aṭā', from Jābir bin 'Abdullāh who said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ forbade Muzābanah, Muḥāqalah and Thunyā, unless it was made known." (Ḥasan)

Arabic text

3405 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَفْصٍ عُمَرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ السَّيَّارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيدٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ المُزَابَنَةِ وَالْمُحَاقَلَةِ، وَعَنِ الثُّنْيَا إِلَّا أَنْ يُعْلَمَ»
