English translation

342. Ibn ‘Umar reported from Hāfṣah, that the Prophet ﷺ said: “It is required for every male of age to go to the Friday prayer, and it is required upon the one who goes to the Friday prayer to perform Ghusl.” (Sahih) Abū Dāwūd said: If a man performs Ghusl after Fajr time has begun, then this is sufficient for the Friday Ghusl, even if he were sexually impure.

342 - حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ رَوَاحٌ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ، وَعَلَى كُلِّ مَنْ رَاحَ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ الْغُسْلُ» قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ: «إِذَا اغتسل الرَّجُلُ بَعْدَ طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ أَجْزَأَهُ مِنْ غُسْلِ الْجُمُعَةِ، وَإِنْ أَجْنَبَ»
