English translation

3454. It was narrated from Mālik, from Nāfi', from 'Abdullāh bin 'Umar that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "The two parties to a transaction each have the option so long as they have not separated, except for a transaction in which it is stipulated that they have the choice." (Sahīh)

Arabic text

3454 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «الْمُتَبَايِعَانِ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا بِالْخِيَارِ عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ مَا لَمْ يَفْتَرِقَا، إِلَّا بَيْعَ الْخِيَارِ»،
