3463. It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbās said: "When the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ came to Al-Madinah, they used to pay one or two or three years in advance for dates. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'Whoever pays in advance for dates, let him pay for a specified measure and a specified weight, (to be delivered) at a specified time.'" (Ṣaḥīḥ)
3463 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَهُمْ يُسْلِفُونَ فِي التَّمْرِ السَّنَةَ، وَالسَّنَتَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثَةَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ أَسْلَفَ فِي تَمْرٍ فَلْيُسْلِفْ فِي كَيْلٍ مَعْلُومٍ، وَوَزْنٍ مَعْلُومٍ، إِلَى أَجَلٍ مَعْلُومٍ»
