English translation

3525. It was narrated from Khālid Al-Ḥadh-dhā', from 'Ubaidullāh bin Ḥumaid bin 'Abdur-Raḥmān, from Ash-Sha'bi who attributed the Hadīth to the Prophet ﷺ, that he said: "Whoever abandons an animal at a place where it cannot survive, and a man takes it and looks after it, it belongs to the one who looked after it." (Da'if)

3525 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، يَرْفَعُ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «مَنْ تَرَكَ دَابَّةً بِمَهْلَكٍ فَأَحْيَاهَا رَجُلٌ فَهِيَ لِمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا»
