English translation

3535. It was narrated that Abū Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'Render the trust back to the one who entrusted it to you, and do not betray the one who betrayed you.'" (Da'if)

Arabic text

3535 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا طَلْقُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ - قَالَ: ابْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، وَقَيْسٌ - عَنْ أَبِي حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَدِّ الْأَمَانَةَ إِلَى مَنِ ائْتَمَنَكَ، وَلَا تَخُنْ مَنْ خَانَكَ»
