English translation
3590. It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbās said: “So if they come to you, either judge between them, or turn away from them.[1] This was abrogated by the Verse: "So judge among them by what Allāh has revealed."[2] (Hasan)

3590 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ النَّحْوِيِّ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " {فَإِنْ جَاءُوكَ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ، أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ}، فَنُسِخَتْ، قَالَ: {فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ} [المائدة: 48] "
