Text and translation

English translation

3645. Zaid bin Thābit said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ ordered me to learn the writing of the Jews, and said: 'By Allāh, I do not trust the Jews to write for me.' So I learned it, and barely half a month had passed before I mastered it. I used to write for him when he wanted something written, and I used to read for him when something was written to him." (Hasan)
