English translation

3650. Al-Walīd said: "I said to Abū 'Amr: 'What did they write?' He said: 'The Khutbah that he heard that day.'"[1] (Sahih)

Arabic text

3650 - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَمْرٍو مَا يَكْتُبُوهُ، قَالَ: «الْخُطْبَةَ الَّتِي سَمِعَهَا يَوْمَئِذٍ مِنْهُ»
