English translation

3899. It was narrated from Ṭāriq, meaning Ibn Mukhāshin, from Abū Hurairah, who said: "A man who had been stung by a scorpion was brought to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: 'If he had said, 'A'ūdhu bi-kalimātillāhit-tāmmati min sharri mā khalaqa (I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allāh from the evil of that which He has created,)' he would not have been stung,' or 'it would not have harmed him.'" (Ḥasan)
