English translation

3951. It was narrated from Sa'eed, from Qatādah, from Al-Hasan, who said: "Whoever acquires a Mahram relative as a slave, he is free." (Ṣaḥīḥ)

Arabic text

3951 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: «مَنْ مَلَكَ ذَا رَحِمٍ مَحْرَمٍ فَهُوَ حُرٌّ»
