Text and translation

English translation

396. 'Abdullāh bin 'Amr narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: "The time for Zuhr (extends) until ʿAṣr comes. And the time for ʿAṣr (extends) as long as the sun does not become yellow. And the time for Maghrib (extends) as long as the redness of the twilight does not disappear. And the time for ʾIshā (extends) until half the night. And the time for Fajr (extends) until sunrise." (Ṣaḥīḥ)

396 - حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، سَمِعَ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «وَقْتُ الظُّهْرِ مَا لَمْ تَحْضُرِ الْعَصْرُ، وَوَقْتُ الْعَصْرِ مَا لَمْ تَصْفَرَّ الشَّمْسُ، وَوَقْتُ الْمَغْرِبِ مَا لَمْ يَسْقُطْ فَوْرُ الشَّفَقِ، وَوَقْتُ الْعِشَاءِ إِلَى نِصْفِ اللَّيْلِ، وَوَقْتُ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ مَا لَمْ تَطْلُعِ الشَّمْسُ»
