English translation

4016. It was narrated that Al-Miswar bin Makhramah said: "I lifted a heavy rock and while I was walking, my garment fell off me. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said to me: 'Put your garment on and do not walk naked.'" (Sahih)

Arabic text

4016 - حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ، عَنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ، قَالَ: حَمَلْتُ حَجَرًا ثَقِيلًا، فَبَيْنَا أَمْشِي فَسَقَطَ عَنِّي ثَوْبِي، فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خُذْ عَلَيْكَ ثَوْبَكَ وَلَا تَمْشُوا عُرَاةً»
