English translation

4147. (There is another chain) from ‘Aishah, who said: “The mattress of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was made of leather, stuffed with palm fibres.” (Sahih)

Arabic text

4147 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَيَّانَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: «كَانَتْ ضِجْعَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَدَمٍ حَشْوُهَا لِيفٌ»
