English translation

421. Mu'ādh bin Jabal said: "We waited for the Prophet ﷺ for the 'Atamah[1] prayer, but he was delayed. Some of us thought that he would not come out, and some said that he had already prayed. While we were in this state, the Prophet ﷺ came out, and they told him what they told him. He said: 'Pray this prayer during the darkness of the night, for you have been preferred with it over all other nations, and no nation before you has prayed it.'" (Sahih)
