English translation

4210. It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet ﷺ used to wear sandals of tanned leather and he dyed his beard with Wars[1] and saffron, and Ibn 'Umar used to do that too. (Hasan)

4210 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ مُطَرِّفٍ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ السِّبْتِيَّةَ، وَيُصَفِّرُ لِحْيَتَهُ بِالْوَرْسِ، وَالزَّعْفَرَانِ»، وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ
