4235. It was narrated that 'Āishah said: "Some jewelry came to the Prophet ﷺ as a gift from An-Najāshī, among which was a ring made of gold with Ethiopian stones. She said: 'The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ picked it up with a stick or with his finger, as if he disliked it, then he called for Umāmah bint Abī Al-'Aṣ – the daughter of his daughter Zainab – and said: Adorn yourself with this, O my daughter.'" (Hasan)
4235 - حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُفَيْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبَّادٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: قَدِمَتْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِلْيَةٌ مِنْ عِنْدِ النَّجَاشِيِّ ، أَهْدَاهَا لَهُ، فِيهَا خَاتَمٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فِيهِ فَصٌّ حَبَشِيٌّ، قَالَتْ: فَأَخَذَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعُودٍ مُعْرِضًا عَنْهُ - أَوْ بِبَعْضِ أَصَابِعِهِ - ثُمَّ دَعَا أُمَامَةَ ابْنَةَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، ابْنَةَ ابْنَتِهِ زَيْنَبَ، فَقَالَ: «تَحَلَّيْ بِهَذَا يَا بُنَيَّةُ»
