English translation

4257. It was narrated from Husain bin 'Abdur-Raḥmān Al-Ashja'i that he heard Sa'd bin Abī Waqqāṣ narrate this Hadīth from the Prophet ﷺ. He said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, what do you think if someone enters upon me in my house and stretches out his hand to kill me?' The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'Be like the son of Ādam.' And Yazīd[1] recited the: "If you do stretch your hand against me to kill me, I shall never stretch my hand against you to kill you: for I fear Allāh, the Lord of the ‘Ālamūn (mankind, jinn, and all that exists)”).[1] (Hasan)
