English translation

4384. It was narrated from Yūnus, from Ibn Shihāb, from ‘Urwah and ‘Amrah, from ‘Aishah that the Prophet ﷺ said: “The hand of the thief is to be cut off for one-quarter of a Dinar or more.” (Sahih) Aḥmad bin Ṣāliḥ (one of the narrators) said: “Cutting (off the thief’s hand) is for one-quarter of a Dinar or more.”

4384 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، وَوَهْبُ بْنُ بَيَانٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا ح وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ السَّرْحِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةً، وَعَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا»، قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ: «الْقَطْعُ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا»
