English translation

4425. It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbās said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said to Mā'iz bin Mālik: 'Is it true what I have heard about you?' He said: 'What have you heard about me?' He said: 'I have heard that you had intercourse with the slave woman of Banū so-and-so.' He said: 'Yes.' He bore witness four times, and he ordered that he be stoned." (Sahih)

4425 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِمَاعِزِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ: «أَحَقٌّ مَا بَلَغَنِي عَنْكَ؟» قَالَ: وَمَا بَلَغَكَ عَنِّي؟ قَالَ: «بَلَغَنِي عَنْكَ أَنَّكَ وَقَعْتَ عَلَى جَارِيَةِ بَنِي فُلَانٍ؟» قَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَشَهِدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ، فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَرُجِمَ
