4602. It was narrated from Sumayyah, from 'Aīshah, that the camel of Ṣafīyyah bint Hūyāi grew tired and Zainab had a spare camel, so the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said to Zainab: "Give her a camel." She said: "Should I give it to that Jewess?!" The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ got angry and stayed away from her during Dhul-Hijjah, Muharram and part of Ṣafar. (Ṣaḥīh)
4602 - حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ سُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، أَنَّهُ اعْتَلَّ بَعِيرٌ لِصَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَيٍّ، وَعِنْدَ زَيْنَبَ فَضْلُ ظَهْرٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لِزَيْنَبَ: «أَعْطِيهَا بَعِيرًا» فَقَالَتْ: أَنَا أُعْطِي تِلْكَ الْيَهُودِيَّةَ؟ «فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَهَجَرَهَا ذَا الْحِجَّةِ وَالْمُحَرَّمَ وَبَعْضَ صَفَرٍ»
