English translation

4667. It was narrated that Abū Sa'eed said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'A rebellious group will emerge at a time of dissent among the Muslims, and it will be destroyed by the closer of the two groups to the truth.'" (Saḥīh)

Arabic text

4667 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «تَمْرُقُ مَارِقَةٌ عِنْدَ فُرْقَةٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، يَقْتُلُهَا أَوْلَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ بِالْحَقِّ»
