Text and translation

English translation

469. It was reported from Al-A’raj, from Abū Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "The angels continue to pray for one of you as long as he sits in the place that he has prayed in — as long as he does not commit Hadath[1] or [stand up]. (They say): 'O Allāh! Forgive him. O Allāh! Have mercy on him.'" (Saḥīḥ)

Arabic text

469 - حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الْمَلَائِكَةُ تُصَلِّي عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ مَا دَامَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ الَّذِي صَلَّى فِيهِ، مَا لَمْ يُحْدِثْ، أَوْ يَقُمْ: اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْهُ "
